Chowringhee Chutney is a medium spiced tomato and apricot condiment containing juliennes of ginger and whole cloves of garlic. It compliments hard, strong and nutty cheeses, but is traditionally eaten with curries. It is my Calcuttan grandmother’s recipe, and it is her portrait that decorates the jars.
It is handmade in London in small batches.
